With its authentic weather beaten, time-ravaged features, and haphazard baseline, the Hombre typeface is a sure-fire attention-getter for projects requiring a straight out of the old west, knock-'em-dead look. Drawn by Thomas Oldfield and loosely based on popular typefaces of the 19th century, Hombre offers all the gun-slinging swagger and rugged style of Jesse James and his gang of bandits. But dont typecast the design. Its not your typical western typeface with chunky slab serifs or a heavy drop-shadow. Hombre is also a break-out type family that is equally at home in projects that call for a rough-and-tumble typeface, as it is in whisky ads and rodeo posters. Add to this, a large character set enabling the setting of most Western European and many Eastern European languages, including Cyrillic and Greek, and you can bring a weathered demeanor to a herd of international applications.
