Erläuterung
Designed by Ben Jones, the Joanna Nova family is a reworking and extension of Eric Gills Joanna typeface, first drawn in the 1930s. The Joanna Nova design was redrawn using a variety of reference sources including Gills original sketches. This includes reinstated the italic designs to more-legible, pre-digital widths. The introduction of several new weights, notably the thin and an ultra black, in addition to the Greek and Cyrillic scripts enables Joanna Nova to offer a wide range of typographic possibilities.
